Rotarians get info on FBC Food Pantry

Graciela Salazar, right, and Brianna Childress, both high school students, spoke to the Noon Rotary Club this week and provided information on the First Baptist Church Food Pantry.  It distributes 3,800 pounds of food to 125 families each month.  The distribution is from 1-2:30 p.m. the second Friday of the month and from 9:30-11 a.m. on the second Saturday of the month.  The group is in need of volunteers to help the recipients go through the receiving lines and aiding them in picking out food items, and in helping package the boxes of non-perishable foods that each client receives.  Those wanting to serve as volunteers can contact Salazar at gmsl.fbcfoodpantry@gmail.com.
